No need to book in advance, just come along and get your questions answered.
If you have done your research and are ready to apply, there are two stages of the process you'll now need to complete.
1) In order to secure your place on a particular programme, you'll need to make an application directly to the partner institution. The online system used for managing applications will differ between organisations, so you'll need to follow the instructions they provide.
As a broad guideline:
Applications for partner summer schoolsare usually made directly to the institution you have selected. Further details will be available in the Summer 2024 brochure which will be launched in February 2024.
Applications for our partner providers are made directly to the chosen organisation. They are often open for applications all year round. Check the individual closing dates and application processes on the organisational websites.
Closing dates vary and some partners will require us to nominate you first, so make sure you factor this into your schedule.
All of the opportunities listed above are supported by our GO Global Scholarship - so don't forget to check if you're eligible.
2) Once you have your place confirmed by the partner organisation, you will need to register your participation on the programme with Newcastle University. This is managed by Terra Dotta, the university’s placement management system (you can view theTerra Dotta Application Instructionsbefore applying). Registering your opportunity means you will be covered under the University insurance policy and your participation will appear on your Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR).
If you are applying for the GO Global Scholarship, then you'll also need to refer to the application instructions outlined on the scholarship webpages.
