Aims
Module Aims
To introduce students to the academic culture, teaching, learning, and assessment methods of UK Higher Education.
To develop essential ICT, project management, and teamwork skills for academic and professional contexts.
To promote independent learning and encourage creative application of study skills to real-life scenarios.
To prepare students for collaborative and individual academic tasks, such as reports, and multimedia projects.
Module Overview
The Study Skills module is designed to support students on INTO Foundation Programmes in developing the skills needed for success in UK Higher Education. It emphasises independent learning, time management, and the effective use of digital tools. The module helps students transition into the academic culture of Newcastle University while gaining practical skills in ICT, group work, and project management.
