Meet the panellists
Prof Vishna Devi V Nadarajah (Host)
Professor Vishna Devi V Nadarajah is an experienced educator and administrator. She is currently the CEO, Provost, and Professor at Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia (NUMed).
Professor Vishna Devi V Nadarajah has over 15 years' experience in strategic and senior leadership roles and has been responsible for the growth and development of individuals, communities of practice and institutions. Her areas of research for health professions education are in faculty development, assessments, professionalism, and innovative teaching learning methods.
Professor Hazlina Selamat
Hazlina Selamat is currently the Director of Control & Mechatronics Engineering Department in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). She is also a Research Fellow at the Centre for AI and Robotics at UTM.
She was awarded the Outstanding Asian Science Diplomat Award in 2021 and was selected as 30 Women in Robotics You Need to Know About in 2020 by RoboHub for her role in advocating the fields of AI and robotics.
Professor Hazlina Selamat co-authored Malaysia’s National Artificial Intelligence Roadmap in 2021. She has trained and provide AI technology consultancy services to various organisations. Her fields of expertise are control system engineering, artificial intelligence and modelling & simulation.
Dr Feisul Mustapha
Dr Feisul Mustapha is a senior medical consultant in public health best known for his leadership in the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Malaysia. His special areas of interest include diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancers and obesity.
At the Ministry of Health Malaysia, he is currently the Director at the Perak State Health Department, responsible for the overall planning, coordination and implementation of all medical and public health programs and activities in the state of Perak.
Dr Feisul studied Medicine at Newcastle University graduating in 1977.
Benjamin Lim
Benjamin has over 16 years of experience driving IT innovations across multiple industries such as banking, airlines, fintech, education and hospitality.
He is currently the Technology Strategy Director at GXBank, where he has led the strategic direction and successful execution of complex technology initiatives, including the launch of a digital bank.
Benjamin has expertise in project management, innovation and team leadership. His focus is aligning technology strategies with business goals across global teams and delivering impactful technology solutions.
Benjamin graduated from Newcastle University in 2006 with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science (Software Engineering).
