I am a Trial Manager at the Newcastle Clinical Trials Unit, working on the AuToDeCRA-2, E-CLAD UK and E-CLAD Long-term studies.
Before joining the CTU, I worked as Regulatory and Engagement Manager for the CANDO (www.cando.ac.uk) project, which aims to develop an optogenetic implant to treat focal epilepsy. I was responsible for leading on obtaining ethical and regulatory approvals and public and patient engagement including the project managing the Illuminating the Self project, an artistic response to the CANDO project.
I started working in clinical research as a Research & Development Officer for The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The R&D team is part of the Newcastle Joint Research Office which sees the Trust working in conjunction with Newcastle University to support medical research.
