Role and Responsibilities
I am the Centre for Doctoral Training Manager for Molecular Sciences for Medicine (MoSMed). MoSMed is an EPSRC funded joint venture between Newcastle and Durham Universities aiming to train and equip the next generation of scientists and produce cutting edge research at the interface between chemistry and medicine. Career History:
2020-2022: I worked as Postgraduate Research Administrator in the School of Natural and Environmental Science (SNES) with responsibility for PhD and MPhil students across the School's many programmes.
2018-2020: I joined SNES in 2018 as the Learning and Teaching Assistant with responsibility for undergraduate Chemistry. Preceding this, I worked as the roving Learning and Teaching Assistant for the SAgE faculty, mainly working on the Postgraduate Research Development Programme.
2016-2018: Before joining Newcastle University, I worked as an Administrative Assistant across various departments in Fenwick.
Education, Qualifications and Achievements
I have a BA Honours degree in English Literature (first class), and an MA in English Literature 1500-1900 (Distinction) from Newcastle University. In regard to the latter, I won both an Excellence Scholarship and the prestigious School Bursary Award. My short fiction has appeared in Lackington's Magazine, The Icarus Writing Collective, and The Broken Spine.
I received a Spotlight Award for my work at Newcastle University.
