Staff Profile

My current role is Operations Manager in the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, Newcastle University. My role is to lead School operational services with senior level responsibility for the development of an environment to enable high quality education, research and engagement. my key focus areas within the school are Infrastructure, EDI and Business, Innovation and Skills.

I have previously been the Education Manager where I was responsible for managing the implementation of the Education Strategy and Quality Assurance policies and procedures within the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, ensuring compliance with School, Faculty and University regulations. I managed all Education activities within a complex, multi-disciplinary School, providing consistent, high quality student experience.

I have worked within the Education Environment at Newcastle University for over 21 years. My first role was a Receptionist in the School of Computing Science. I then progressed to a Programme Secretary in the Business School, Personal Assistant in the International Office, Senior Programme Coordinator in the School of Marine Science and Technology and then a Learning and Teaching Officer in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. I joined the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences in September 2017 as an Education Assistant Manager.
