Our Glassblowing Workshop offers a unique, cost effective and specialised service.
Our services
At the Glassblowing Workshop, we design and manufacture complex glassware.
We can cover all aspects of scientific glassblowing using soda, borosilicate and quartz.
The workshop has a comprehensive range of equipment. Using both hot and cold glass working, we can accommodate many different glass requirements.
We offer consultation and design services on glassware for commercial customers. As well as making and repairing glassware for researchers and teaching laboratories
Our skilled staff provides a service that is personalised, offering quality products at affordable prices.
We keep a range of glass stock including: borosilicate, silica, soda tubing, quickfit joints, general purpose stopcock, borosilicate high vacuum taps and young’s taps.

How to book
How to book work with the Glass Blowing Workshop.
Before we can start work you will need to ensure that all glassware for repair or modification is clean of all chemicals, solvents and grease. Unfortunately, work cannot begin until this is completed.
Internal customers
If you are a member of staff at the University, contact us about your requirements. You can then complete an internal requisition form (you can get a quotation on request).
External customers
Contact us to discuss your requirements and our costs.
