It's not just students who need answers...
Parents, carers and supporters often have as many questions and decisions to make about the transition to university.
Our event will give you the answers you need about higher education and Newcastle University. We will also explain where to look for further details.

- Location: King's Hall, Armstrong Building, Newcastle University Campus
Following a warm welcome and some light refreshments, you can choose from a range of informal sessions to attend, as well as the option of a campus tour. This gives you the chance to tailor the event programme to best suit you.
We'll address the topics you need to know, such as:
- Choosing a course and university
- Navigating the application process
- Student Finance, Accommodation and Wellbeing support
- Career options and beyond
This event is aimed at parents of pupils who are currently studying in Year 10 to Year 13 or second-year college. It is also open to anyone who has an interest in finding out more.
We may occasionally use the terms parent, son, daughter, and child for simplicity. But we do appreciate that many of you may be carers, legal guardians or step-parents. The event is for anyone who fulfils a parenting or support role for a young person in the UK considering a university education.

11:00 onwards - Information fair

11:15 onwards - Optional breakout sessions

12:15 onwards - Optional breakout sessions

Support with travel costs
If you are attending our on-campus event, you may be eligible for support to cover the cost of your travel.
Newcastle University will reimburse up to £50 of travel cost (per booking) to come to our on-campus event on 20 April. Information on how to claim this reimbursement will be sent in an email to all attendees in advance of the event.
You must meet any one of the following criteria, to receive a reimbursement:
• your child meets any of the PARTNERS Programme Supported Entry eligibility criteria, in addition to meeting the essential conditions
• your child is taking part in the Realising Opportunities Programme
• your child is taking part in the Sutton Trust Programme
