Why are applicants to these subjects eligible for the PARTNERS programme?
This expansion is in response to a predicted national skills shortage identified by Government in these key economic subject areas. Through the intensive support offered by PARTNERS, we aim to support applicants with the impact of lost learning as a result of the pandemic who want to progress to these vital subject areas.
Applicants must have applied to one of the above degree programmes and meet the following essential eligibility criteria:
- Be resident in the UK.
- Have home student status for fees purposes.
- Not hold a higher education qualification (eg a degree or higher degree).
Please note: If you are applying for multiple courses at Newcastle University but only meet this specific criteria, you can only be made the lower PARTNERS offer for the above listed courses. If you do not meet any of the other PARTNERS widening participation criteria, any application to courses outside of the above list will be processed in the standard way.
PARTNERS offers a wide range of support to aid the transition from school/college to university level study including:

- An offer up to three grades lower for your chosen degree programme(s)
