School of Pharmacy

We work hard to deliver word-class education and innovative research to develop professionals who can contribute to the issues society faces in respect to the development and safe and effective use of medicines.

We want our School to be a world leader in academic pharmacy:

  • delivering the next generation of pharmacists
  • integrating pharmaceutical sciences with clinical practice
  • acting as a focal hub for pharmacy and pharmaceutical science in the region

 

Scholarship opportunity:

Name of Scholarship: Alan Worsley Memorial Prize 2024-25

Scholarship Amount: £5,000

The purpose of the prize is to help enable an international exchange for a student to a partner university or allow for a period of research study in Newcastle University with colleagues in the School of Pharmacy.

Applications must be received no later than 15 November 2024

Notice of Award: You will be informed by the School of Pharmacy in January 2025 of the outcome of your application.   

Conditions of scholarship:

All scholarship recipients are asked to provide an introductory profile when they first receive the award, and an update report on completion of their period of exchange or study. You will be contacted to provide these reports with plenty of notice.  Recipients are encouraged to be available to meet the donors and participate in the promotion of student support activity at Newcastle University if requested.
