Pharmacy Outreach and Engagement
Find out more about our Pharmacy Outreach and Engagement.
One of our roles is to achieve mutually beneficial engagement with partners and communities in education and research via our collaborations and pharmacy outreach skills.
Engagement is a multi-directional process. It enables the enrichment and enhancement of teaching and research within the School of Pharmacy. We achieve this through mutually beneficial partnerships beyond the University.
In line with our institutional aspirational values, our engagement activities:
- are embedded in and representative of our research and education excellence
- are creative and innovative in working for the public good
- provide ideas and solutions that will have an economic and social impact
Our engagement activities working with partners and the community are wide ranging:
- public engagement in our teaching and research
- student placements within the community, including patients and the public
- inclusion of volunteer patients in pharmacy education and training
- student-led health clinics in the community
- partnerships with local businesses to deliver real-world impact
- widening participation and PARTNERS programme for supported entry to higher education
