Staff Profile

Gwen joined the NIHR Newcastle Patient Safety Research Collaboration (PSRC) as Operations Manager in August 2023. PSRCs are NHS/university partnerships in England that undertake high quality translational, applied and health services research on patient safety that addresses strategic patient safety challenges within the health and care system.

Her role is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the PSRC, supporting the Director and academic staff and ensuring the continuous advancement of our work programme and strategic objectives. She works closely with the Academic Career Development; Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement leads to implement PSRC strategies in these areas.

Gwen has worked at Newcastle University since 2005 and is an experienced Higher Education administration professional with an in-depth knowledge of operations, teaching & learning, research, engagement, and strategic planning.
