Patient Safety Research Collaboration

NIHR Newcastle Patient Safety Research Collaborative

The National Institute for Health and Care Research Newcastle Patient Safety Research Collaboration (NIHR Newcastle PSRC) carries out research with the goal of improving healthcare safety where there are inequalities for those from disadvantaged communities. Listening to patients, public and practitioners, taking their experiences into consideration from design to evaluation, strengthens our research. Collaborating with a range of partners with expertise in the field further benefits patients and professionals.

The NIHR funds, enables and delivers world-leading health and social care research that improves people's health and wellbeing and promotes economic growth.

The NIHR Newcastle PSRC is a part of the NIHR and hosted by The Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with Newcastle University, Cumbia, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, Queen Mary University of London, University of Northumbria at Newcastle and Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
