Improving lab animal welfare
Award for work to improve the condition of laboratory animals.
The UK Laboratory Animal Science Association has recognised the work of a group of Newcastle scientists with the Charles River award for their work to improve the welfare of laboratory animals.The award is made to individuals or groups who have made outstanding contributions to laboratory animal science and welfare.
The award recognised the many and varied contributions made by the Pain and Animal Welfare Science group in the Centre for Behaviour and Evolution, Institute of Neuroscience.
