Dr Gavin Clark
Degree Programme Director MSc Foundations in Clinical Psychology and Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology
I am the Deputy Head of the School of Psychology, Degree Programme Director for the MSc Foundations in Clinical Psychology and a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology. I teach across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with a particular focus on the Foundations in Clinical Psychology MSc.
I conduct research and supervise student research projects in the areas of anxiety, cognitive-behavioural processes, adult attachment and interpersonal behaviours.
I have provided teaching and training in psychological disorders and evidence-based psychological assessment and interventions across a number of settings, including on post-graduate qualifications in evidence-based psychological therapies at the Charlie Waller Institute, University of Reading. Prior to joining Newcastle University in 2019, I was the Director of the Clinical Psychology Programme at the University of New England, Australia.
