Staff Profiles

I am a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist accredited by the BABCP working in the psychological therapies training and research clinic at Newcastle University. I use a cognitive behavioural framework to assess and treat a range of mental health problems, mainly anxiety disorders and depression. I also provide clinical supervision to students working within the clinic studying on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and the CBT diploma.

Prior to this role I worked in NHS mental health services undertaking a variety of roles including psychological therapist, clinical supervisor and a link clinician between primary and secondary care mental health services. Alongside this I worked part time at University College London as a clinical tutor. This role involved delivering the academic and clinical training on the Low Intensity CBT course for trainee practitioners on placement in local NHS IAPT services.
