Background

Roles and Responsibilities

To devise and deliver a strategy to enable the Faculty to maximise external research funding, supporting the Humanities and Social Science Dean of Research and Innovation and academic staff to enhance research applications. 

Key activities include:

  • Engage with change and developments in the external research funding environments
  • Provide project-management style support to large, complex funding applications
  • Ensure the establishment and delivery of best practice in proposal writing and project management
  • Visits and information sessions from funders

Previous Roles

Over my career with Newcastle University, I have been in a number of roles in the research environment which has included Grants and Contracts, Research Centre Manager, School Research Administrator and Deputy School Manager.  I worked with a number of researchers from across the University to develop research applications and support the development and performance of the research environment.

LLB (Hons) Law
