As a sports broadcaster, Andy works for some of the world's biggest broadcasting organisations. Alongside lecturing, Andy is Premier League Productions' North-East correspondent, reporting on Newcastle Utd for worldwide audiences. He also reports for BBC Sport's, 'Final Score' and BBC Radio 5 programming too on football matches across the UK. Elsewhere, he often pops up as a sports host and stadium announcer for Newcastle Utd Women, Durham Cricket and last year, the Rugby League World Cup, while running his own media company, specialising in video production. When he's not lecturing or working in/watching sport, Andy is a huge film and travel enthusiast and can often be found with his family and dog around his beloved North East!

Andy has been teaching at Newcastle University since September 2022 and now lectures Monday-Wednesday every week on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Andy brings a practical, contemporary approach to his teaching, combining university with working for Premier League Productions and BBC Sport. With his TV and radio background, he specialises in elements such as news and sports TV/radio packages, pieces to camera, voiceovers, videography, editing and interviewing.
