Patience is passionate about integrated strategic communication and has taught courses in Public Relations, Advertising and Media Studies at the University of Botswana.
Patience has freelanced as a radio talk show host on one of the national radio stations in Botswana. She has industry experience in Public Relations where she worked in Corporate Communications at the Botswana Housing Corporation. She has also carried out workshops on media relations, crisis communication and political empowerment for organisations such as the national airline in Botswana (Air Botswana) and the national TV broadcaster in Botswana (Botswana Television) as well as worked closely with several NGO's and Public Relations and Advertising agencies in Botswana such as Gender Links Botswana and The Dialogue Group.
Patience's research interests include new media and religion, political advertising and strategic communication.
Her research interests also encompass interrogating media relations management in the era of digitalisation as well as determining the practical prominence of strategic public relations and to explore the state of strategic communication by public relations agencies in developing countries.
Patience has experience in designing and delivering courses at both undergraduate and post-graduate level in Public Relations, Advertising and Media Studies.
She has taught courses in Public Relations at introductory and advanced levels and has also supervised students' projects at undergraduate level.
