Tracey Tofield's work is time, site and audience specific working across media boundaries and subject disciplines to involve performance, collaboration and community development, educational/creativity research, curation, event direction and production.
Drawing is the core of her practice yet she also works in painting, video, installation, book works and performance.
She works in iterative series, investigating the significance of error within creative cycles and is currently investigating the role, significance and value of seeing, drawing and visual arts practice in health education and community settings.
Tracey is the founder of the ArtHouse Programme within Whitley Bay Film Festival. She has been a member of the Whitley Bay Film Festival team since 2010.

Lectures & performance
Tracey delivers performance Not-Lectures on Andy Warhol, Goya, Architecture and Drawing, The Paradox of Error, Knowing & Not-Knowing.
She was invited to curate a series of four Performance Not-Lectures for Breeze Creatives in 2015.
Since 2009 Tracey has worked with performance and satirical improvisational theatre as a site specific praxis. She co-founded the performance troupe Pox.
