Project Description
Lingyi’s research examines socio-cultural anxieties and collective fears in China, using the Chinese mythological figure Xiao Qing. This study offers a unique perspective by addressing the fragmented nature of Monster Studies and advocating for a comprehensive, transmedia-oriented approach to understanding China’s socio-cultural challenges. Lingyi’s research highlights the intersection of mythology, media, and cultural heritage in navigating modern societal tensions.
