Martin is an alumnus of Newcastle University, where he completed a master's degree in Civil Engineering in 2019. He is currently finishing a Ph.D. in Image Velocimetry for river analysis in collaboration with the Department of Physical Geography and the Environment Agency. Martin's research focuses on the application of Image Velocimetry techniques in rivers, aiming to advance understanding and provide practical solutions.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Martin has actively collaborated with National Resources Wales and the Scottish Environmental and Protection Agency to integrate new research findings and develop business cases. This demonstrates his commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry and ensuring the practical relevance of his work.
