Research

Research Interests


My background is in French language teaching with a focus on history and politics, media, political marketing, election campaigns and political communication in France.


Over the course of my career, I have also developed interests in the following areas:

  • Autonomous language learning;
  • Reflective learning ePortfolios in the Personal and Academic Development of students abroad;
  • Student transition into University;
  • Student wellbeing;
  • Collaborative learning and students as partners;
  • Developing and supporting student executive functions


I am also currently studying to become an AC accredited Certified Life Coach in Education.


I currently coach 7 UG students and am interested in coaching students and leaders in Education around the following themes:

  • Building confidence
  • Developing leadership skills
  • Managing change & transition
  • Career progress & development
  • Self-organisation & Time Management
  • Work/Life balance and Wellbeing
