How we will confirm your eligibility
After you submit your application for reimbursement, we will review your UCAS application. We will confirm that you meet one of the eligibility criteria listed above.
To find out if your postcode is eligible, you can search for it below:
Step one - complete the reimbursement form
Download and complete the Event attendee travel reimbursement form and bring this along to your interview.
Please note: Make sure all bank details are correct. Write them clearly on your travel expenses form to avoid payment delays. If you're not using your own bank details, please complete the 'relationship to bank account holder' section of the form. Also, provide the sort code and bank account number for the alternative bank account.
Make sure you sign and date the form. We are unable to process any forms that have not been signed by the applicant attending the interview.
Step two - supply evidence of your costs
Evidence of costs is required to verify your claim.
If claiming for train, bus, metro or air travel, you'll need to supply evidence of your payment (such as a receipt).
If you're traveling by London Over/Underground, you will need to buy a ticket for this section of your journey. We can't reimburse transactions made on Oyster Card and other contactless payment cards.
If you're traveling by car, evidence of costs is not required. The distance to your home address will be used to calculate your reimbursement.
Step three - submit your form and evidence
Bring your completed reimbursement form with you to your interview. Hand it in to a member of staff.
Submit your form along with proof of purchase either via:
- email at visit.bursary@newcastle.ac.uk
- in-person to King’s Gate reception, FAO Visit Bursary Team, UK Recruitment Team. Building 1 on the University map
