Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) Students Participation in the Newcastle University Research Internship Programme
Five students from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) participated in the Research Internship Programme at Newcastle University’s home campus in the summer of 2024. This short-term initiative allows students to select projects aligned with their interests and collaborate closely with Newcastle University’s Academic Project Leads.
The Research Internship Programme is a six weeks on-campus programme, and the SUSS students were joined by their counterparts from the University of Florida and IIT Khragphur.
Among the participants from SUSS, three students Ms Dai Ruoyu, Ms Lee Ee Jean, and Ms Esther Chan were awarded scholarships of £2,000 each from Newcastle University in Singapore (NUiS) to support their involvement in the programme.
This programme offers undergraduate students a unique opportunity to develop essential graduate skills and gain valuable insights into the university research landscape. As part of the research internship programme, students are engaged in project-based learning under the guidance of a Newcastle University faculty member with expertise in their specific research area.
