Research Internship at Newcastle University
SUSS Students Engage in Research Internship at Newcastle University
In the summer of 2024, five students from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) took part in the Newcastle University Research Internship Programme which was held at the University's UK campus.
As part of this six-weeks programme, participants were allowed to select projects that are aligned with their interests and collaborate closely with Newcastle University’s Academic Project Leads. The SUSS students were joined by their counterparts from the University of Florida and IIT Khragphur.
This programme offers undergraduate students a unique opportunity to develop essential graduate skills and gain valuable insights into the university research landscape. Students are engaged in project-based learning under the guidance of a Newcastle University faculty member with expertise in their specific research area.
Among the participants from SUSS, three students Ms Dai Ruoyu, Ms Lee Ee Jean, and Ms Esther Chan were awarded scholarships of £2,000 each from Newcastle University in Singapore (NUiS) to support their involvement in the programme.
