I joined Newcastle University's School of Modern Languages in January 2021. Before that I was a Marie Curie/Irish Research Council-funded research fellow at University College Cork with the project Reading Across Cultures: the Role of Translated Literature in Multicultural and Multilingual Communities. I have an MA in Translation Studies from the University of Birmingham where I also completed my PhD in 2017. My thesis explored the translation and reception of Catalan literature in English.
I also work as a literary translator from Catalan and Spanish into English.
