Background

I am from León (Spain) and I have been living in the UK since 2000. I have worked in several HE institutions, and joined Newcastle University in 2022. I have a BA in Translation and Interpreting (Spanish, English and Russian) by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain), and I also hold an MA in Fine Art and Education by Northumbria University (UK).


Teaching

I teach a range of modules across all stages. I am module leader for SPA4081 Level D Spanish: Advanced Writing Skills and SPA3052 Spanish Writing Skills: Translation (Exchange). I also contribute to the modules SPA1071 Level B Spanish, TRI1002 Translation Theory and Practice, and SPA4083 Level D Spanish: Translation and Interpreting.
