Staff Profile

My academic and professional background is in Chinese International Education. I completed my undergraduate studies at Hubei University and earned my Master's degree from Fudan University, both in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language.

Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience in the field of education. Prior to my appointment at Newcastle University Confucius Institute, I worked at the Confucius Institute in Auckland, New Zealand, and Shanghai International Studies University.

My academic studies and my teaching career have allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the Chinese language and culture, as well as a strong knowledge base in both child and adult education.

I teach the Chinese University Wide Language Programme (UWLP) and elementary Chinese to 6-12 year olds at local schools.
