Accessing Student Services

Your first point of contact for all Student Services is the Student Engagement Team.

We provide information and support in an environment that's friendly, safe and relaxed. 

We can offer you expert advice. We will be able to answer many of your questions directly and can signpost you to colleagues within the integrated services if needed.

Who can use Student Services?

Our services are for people thinking of university education, current students and our graduates.

  • Prospective students can seek advice on applying to Newcastle, open days, accommodation and financial support
  • Current students can access information, support and guidance throughout your studies
  • After graduation you will be able to access further support with careers, and obtain documentation and verification of your study

We also offer some services to our colleagues in the University and to external stakeholders.

Privacy

In line with our privacy policy, any identifiable information you provide to Student and Academic Services staff will remain confidential, unless we are compelled by law to provide it or we believe that you or somebody else is in danger. If this is the case, we will work with you to take any needed safeguarding action, unless to do so creates risk to others.

From Tuesday 9 July, the Student Services Helpdesk will move to Great North House (located between the Hancock Pub and the Marjorie Robinson Library Rooms link to map) whilst Levels 1 & 2 of King’s Gate undergo redevelopment.

  • 10:00 to 16:30 on Wednesday only

  • 10:00 to 12:30 and 13:30 to 16:30 Wednesday only
