Staff Profile

After having completed my second year of studying Physical Geography at Loughborough University, I began the search for a placement which would build on my existing media production skills, while incorporating my love for the environment. Fortunately, the Sustainability Communications Placement is just that!

Some of my responsibilities include:

• Monitoring University heat, gas and electricity usage, calculating cost and rate on a monthly basis.
• Creating eye-catching graphics to promote events, targeting both staff and students.
• Editing the sustainable campus website, acquiring extensive web design training.
• Understanding both the environmental and energy management plans, using tracking software to acknowledge faults in the water or energy output.
• Replying to emails from the sustainable campus inbox, including waste enquiries and meter readings.
• Supporting all staff members with upcoming projects
