ABSTRACT

The complete monetary and time costs incurred in mapping the coral reefs and associated habitats of the Caicos Bank, Turks and Caicos Islands, using remotely sensed data from four satellite and one airborne sensor are presented.

The relationship between accuracy and cost is explored for one satellite sensor and the implications of such an analysis for coastal management discussed.
