The Newcastle Wellcome Trust Translational Partnership (WTTP) supports Newcastle University researchers carrying out early-stage translational research by providing:
- Advice and expertise from our Translator in Residence and Research Funding Development Manager (Early Translational Research).
- Periodic calls for Early Translational Research Fund for research projects up to £10,000.
- Translational Explorer Scheme providing support to early career researchers (ECRs) for secondments/ placements or to explore a translational research idea.
- Access to an external network of advisers, bringing in specialist expertise for projects where needed.
- Training for translational research skills development.
Stage
Researchers should get in touch as soon as possible when they have an early translational idea and are looking for support. The WTTP supports stages D2, D3 and T1 along the Translational Research Pathway.
