We offer a variety of helpful wellbeing workshops, throughout the academic year to help you maintain or improve your wellbeing while you study here at Newcastle.

Counselling support

Our Counselling Team support students through a provision of time-focused counselling, and by facilitating access to long-term counselling or specialist mental health care.

Self-help resources

Volunteering

Why not develop new skills and responsibilities while supporting our local community by becoming a volunteer? Our Students' Union offers this service, and it can benefit your mental and physical health while helping others.

Be Well@NCL

Be Well@NCL is our collection of tried and tested books we've chosen in partnership with our Student Health and Wellbeing service and other health professionals. You and anyone at the university can borrow these books to help understand and manage your mental health and wellbeing.

Give it a Go

Give it a Go is an activity programme for all students and staff where you can try new things. It's open to all abilities and you don't need a membership.

Centre for Clinical Interventions (CCI)

CCI is a self-help site addressing a wide variety of problem areas, including anxiety, depression, social anxiety, panic, worry, self-esteem, procrastination, assertiveness, and eating problems.

Sport and Active Wellbeing

Look after your physical health and mental wellbeing by taking part in our sport and active wellbeing activities.
