PARTNERS Academic Summer School

Sunday 30th June - Friday 5th July 2024
Newcastle University campus and Canvas Virtual Learning Environment

Students that have successfully applied to PARTNERS will be invited to PASS (PARTNERS Academic Summer School).

To take advantage of any lower contextual PARTNERS offer that you may receive, attendance at PASS is compulsory. Therefore, make sure to keep the above dates free if you aim to select Newcastle University as your Firm Choice through UCAS.

In order to successfully complete PARTNERS, you will need to submit a formative assessment. This will be outlined by your strand leader during PASS and the deadline may be after the Summer School, therefore we recommend that you keep some time set aside to complete your formative assessment in the week after PASS.

Will PASS be in-person or online?

The event will be delivered via a blended model. This means that during the above dates you’ll take part in both on-campus academic activities, as well as online academic teaching, via Canvas – the University’s virtual learning environment.

What about travel, accommodation & costs?

Attendance at PASS is free.

All reasonable travel costs for the on-campus days at PASS will be covered by the University.

If you are unable to commute to the University for a 9am lecture, you will be offered free accommodation for the on-campus days of PASS, in Newcastle University Halls of Residence.

How can you find out more?

Students who make Newcastle University their Firm Choice via a PARTNERS offer will be contacted directly via email with further details. We've also updated our website with lots of extra information via the link below:

I really enjoyed my time on PASS. It helped to boost my confidence, especially during a large step from A levels to university, and helped me to meet a lot of new friends which has put me at ease for September
