School of Computing Outreach Open Day

Join us at our state-of-the-art facility for a day of activities and discovery.

Timings: 10:00 - 15:30

What can you get involved in?

The event will showcase the outreach activities the School of Computing does with local schools and colleges.

Activities will include:

programming robots using both block-based and text-based coding
sending secret messages using binary
learning logics gates using a marble powered computer
programming a turtle and Minecraft using Python

Who should attend?

Whether you're studying computing or interested in discovering what it's like at University, this event is perfect for you!

The event is available for anyone aged 7 and above with an interest in computing!

Attendees under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Attendees aged 15-18 (year 10 and above) can attend unaccompanied but schools/parents/guardians will be asked to complete a consent form for those under the age of 18.
