Rooms and prices
Bernicia, owned by the International Study Centre, provides accommodation for students joining the University in September 2025. It offers two types of rooms: en-suite rooms for undergraduate students and studio rooms for postgraduate students.
En-suite rooms feature 3-foot (single-size) beds and are located along corridors, sharing a communal kitchen with up to seven students. The communal kitchen includes a dining table, comfy chairs, a TV, an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a toaster, storage space, an iron, and an ironing board. Kitchens are cleaned daily, and both en-suite and studio rooms benefit from weekly professional cleaning.
Studio rooms are single-occupancy and include a small double bed. They feature a private kitchen unit equipped with an integrated oven and hob. Each bedroom also includes a wardrobe, a study desk with drawers, and a study chair.

En suite rooms are available across three floors. This room has three-foot bed (single). For September 2025-26 applicants, there will be 95 rooms of this type available.
Weekly Rate: £190.05
Annual Rate: £7,602.00

Studio
Studio rooms are available across three floors. This room has a four-foot bed (small double). For September 2025-26 applicants, there will be 14 rooms of this type available.
Weekly Rate: £231.00
Annual Rate: £11,319.00
