Jesmond Road is just a six-minute walk from the centre of campus and Newcastle’s many shops, bars and restaurants. Located beside both the Philip Robinson Library and Marjorie Robinson Library Rooms, you can roll out of bed and into a study space. Both Haymarket and Jesmond Metro Stations are only a five-minute walk away too, connecting you to many of Newcastle’s favourite attractions and amenities, including central train station, the airport, and the beach.

Rooms and prices

There are two room options available at Jesmond Road – standard, and washbasin. Each bedroom combines a sleep/study space, including a bed, desk with chair and small set of drawers, wardrobe and shelving. Flat sizes vary between two to six students per flat, with four people sharing a bathroom on average. Each flat has a shared kitchen, which includes a fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle, oven, hob, microwave and hoover. Jesmond Road accommodation has access to the laundrette at Windsor Terrace. University accommodation fees for Jesmond Road include heating, electricity and water charges, free personal possessions insurance via Cover 4 Insurance, and WiFi.

Reception is based at nearby Kensington Terrace, and our friendly security staff patrols the area and is available on call 24/7.
