Project Title

The Discursive Space in Jianzhu Xuebao (The Architectural Journal) in China from 1970s to early 1980s

Project Description

Lingfei’s research is aiming to discover how Jianzhu Xuebao acted as the main discursive space between architects, academics, authorities, and other institutions in which a dialogical communication occurred to help professionals define the architectural autonomy in the 1970s and early 1980s in China. Through studies, the contribution of Jianzhu Xuebao  to the construction of architectural theory and discourse in China, and a general transition towards opening-up in the academy and for society at large in this period and after will also be realized.
