About the panellists:

Katherine Priestley

Katherine Priestley is the founder and Managing Director of investment company Park Vale Capital. The company focuses on rapid deployment of hard- and clean-tech innovation. It aims to revolutionise how to power infrastructure and industries to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Professor Christopher Wright

Christopher Wright is Professor of Organisational Studies at the University of Sydney Business School.

His research explores organisational and societal responses to climate change. It focuses on how managers and organisations interpret and respond to the climate crisis.

His publications on this topic are internationally recognised. They address the issues of:

  • corporate environmentalism
  • corporate citizenship
  • organisational justification and compromise, and
  • future imaginings
Professor Ariel Liebman

Professor Ariel Liebman is an energy specialist. He has more than 25 years of experience in areas such as:

  • NEM price forecasting
  • investment planning
  • electricity network monopoly regulation, and
  • energy portfolio risk management

Ariel has been Director of the Monash Energy Institute since 2020. He also leads the university’s Smart Energy Systems research program. Ariel leads Monash's electricity grid-related Digital Energy initiatives. He brings together researchers from across disciplines, such as AI and Electrical Engineering.
