The QS MBA and university rankings recognise Newcastle University Business School (NUBS) in the latest QS Business Master’s Rankings 2023 and the QS MBA by Career Specialisation Ranking 2023.
The annual rankings provide a comprehensive list of the best business schools to study a specialised Master’s programme.
MBA improves ranking
Our MBA programme has held its global position in the top 200 in the QS Business Master’s Rankings and top 60 in Europe.
The programme was highlighted as being above the global average for entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes – something we’re extremely proud of as a School.
On our MBA programme, students develop the capabilities and knowledge to set them apart in any industry or entrepreneurial venture. Students hone leadership skills, critical thinking, and communication. They also work to improve their performance through a range of modules throughout the 12-month course.
MBA modules include:
- Business in Action;
- the intensive Business Awareness Experience;
- Boardroom Challenge;
- Personal and Professional Transformation.
Dr Rebecca Casey, MBA Programme Lead at the Business School said: “We are delighted to have improved our ranking in the QS Business Master’s Rankings. This global kitemark of quality demonstrates the dedication and passion of our faculty, programme team, businesses, alumni and of course our fantastic students.”
Global recognition for Master's programmes
The QS Business Master’s Rankings 2023 also reinforced the position for our Master’s taught programmes, with the following rankings:
- top 100 for Marketing, with recognition of being above the global average for class and faculty diversity, employability and thought leadership;
- top 100 for Management, with recognition of being above the global average for class and faculty diversity and employability;

This is in addition to further recognition on the QS MBA by Career 2023 rankings where we gained a top 100 position for entrepreneurship, finance, information management, marketing and operations management.
I am delighted to see our MBA and Master's programmes are ranked among the best in the world. This is testament to the quality of our courses, the work of our teaching teams and academics, and the career benefits our students gain from study at NUBS.
