Case provider: Barclays Bank
This year, students had to work in international teams to prepare a solution to a real business problem set by Barclays Bank. This involved producing an executive-style report including their recommendations and an implementation plan, as well as a video presentation with contributions from all team members.
Participants in the competition were able to apply their learning to a real-world situation and demonstrate their skills to a corporate client on an international stage. Our MBA students also benefitted from collaboration with peers from partnership institutions and were able to develop their professional network.
The competition was followed by an awards ceremony event to celebrate the work of all students throughout the process and announce the winning teams.
Meera Chithirappaavai (pictured) was a member of the overall winning team and said: “We really appreciate the opportunity. It was great to work in an interuniversity setting with such a prestigious organisation like Barclays. We all gained a lot of insight into the FinTech industry and learned to work in a team. I would especially like to thank our mentors - we really appreciated their advice and guidance.”
