Staff Profile
I have taught part time at the business school, formally since 2014 and as a guest lecturer before that, in the Leadership, Work and Organisations group.
Recently I have taught lectures and seminars in the area of Managing Change, with previous topics including Management Consultancy, HRM, Leadership and Management Development, and Leadership for the executive MBA group. Currently I teach on degree apprenticeship programmes covering Leadership and Change in the Digital Age.
Most of my time I work privately through my consultancy business Hapsis Innovation Ltd, providing a mixture of people development (including management and coaching), organisational consultancy and projects featuring digital and online technology. Examples include Jisc projects on Research Data Sharing and Re-use, Research Infrastructure, Next Generation Learning Environments and Intelligent Campus (Internet of Things).
I have a PhD in Computing Science and an MBA from Newcastle University, having originally studied Microelectronic Systems Engineering at Manchester University. I later studied for an MSc in Organisational Psychology at Birkbeck College, University of London, and trained as a coach.
