Project description
My PhD thesis will provide new avenues for investigating the role of female directors in mitigating earnings management in global banks. My work focuses on the banking industry, which affects the economy's financial stability due to its regulation, governance frameworks, and leverage complexities.
The results are expected to offer novel insights and important implications for regulators governing cross-country banking systems by highlighting the role of gender diversity in promoting high financial reporting quality.
