Roles and Responsibilities
As an Education Assistant, my main duties are PECs, Attendance Monitoring, Processing Absence Requests, Senior Tutor/Student Wellbeing admin, Disseminating and processing Student Support Plans/Carer Passports/PEEPs and Personal Tutor Allocation/PT queries. Also any other administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the School Office, including Reception.
Background & Previous Positions
I have been in SELLL now for nearly 7 years, starting in October 2017. I was self employed running by own holiday rental website business from August 2013-September 2017. I lived and worked in Turkey, from 1996, in tourism for fifteen years, firstly spending summers in Turkey and winters working in the UK, and then from 2004 I was in Turkey full time, working for Estate Agencies and Rental Companies. I returned to live in the UK full time with my daughter in June 2012.
I worked at Northumbria University as a Course Secretary from 1988-1996, and also as an office temp for many years in a number of administrative, clerical and secretarial roles. I have also previously worked at Newcastle University.
