About Suzanne
I returned to study around 6 years ago after a busy career in industry and instantly fell in love with Sociology and social research. I have a passion for learning and self-development, and I want to give more to the world than I take.
Project description
Much is known about how women experience poverty uniquely, but we know very little about how they experience this in complex ways and how it may affect the course of their lives.
This project sets out to develop this knowledge and understanding from the viewpoint of women with this experience and through their unique life stories.
- Women’s poverty
- Child poverty
- Inequality
- Social justice
- Gender relations
- The life course
- Narrative and biographical research
My interests
I'm a single busy mum. When I'm not studying, working or being a personal taxi to a teenage boy, I like to spend my time dog walking, and I love exploring nature and finding new quiet places off the beaten track.
