About Us

Based in the Philip Robinson Library, our team provides services and training to support researchers adopt open research practices, including sharing of research data, code, software, protocols, methods, and publications. We also give advice on publication strategy, licencing and copyright and the responsible use of research metrics.

We also lead the Open Research Project, focussed on working with the research community to co-deliver an institutional programme of training in open research practices and establishing a network of open research champions to support open research within units and disciplines

If you like to hear more about how we can support you, your school or research group or, if you are interested in joining the Open Research Project, please get in touch at lrs@ncl.ac.uk. We are happy to come along to meetings and events to explain what we do and how we can help.

Implementing open and transparent practices throughout the research workflow enchances rigour, reproducibility and transparency, fostering greater trust in research.
