What you found useful about our Evaluating Information session
"the 6 questions that I need to ask"
"being organised and evaluating each piece then noting its relevance"
"The importance of checking the sources that the author has used when trying to find a reliable article."
"To understand why it is important to check sources thoroughly before using them"
What you found useful about our Literature Reviews session:
"It re-cemented in my mind what I needed to do for a literature review. I had began to overcomplicate it by adding in everything I had read over the last few years to ensure the "big names" were there, but I realised it was better if I make it more focussed and have an academic conversation with these curated pieces of literature."
"Framing from a different perspective linked everyone in the audience at all stages and made us think differently about the problem."
"Leader/teacher was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and engaging"
"That literature review is both process and product - I feel like that makes the idea of it less scary"
"Understanding the purpose of literature review and setting goals and/or approach accordingly"
What you found useful about our Making your voice heard in seminars session:
“The examples, accepting awkwardness, and the reality check of your success expectations.”
“It made me realise that everyone is on the same boat and that made me feel less lonely :)”
"It helped me understand that there are different ways in which we can tackle different types of people in a seminar eg. People who dont talk at all, talk too much, overcoming the language barrier."
"It has given me more tools to speak up and be less afraid."
"Thank you so much. It was helpful and useful. But I was thinking it might be easier to understand the contents if you present this sessions core contents using more elaborated PPT."
