Are you just starting at Newcastle University? Maybe you’ve never visited the library before? To help you familiarise yourself with our buildings and what we offer, take a self-guide tour either online or in-person. Select the library you’d like to visit and download the map to find out everything you need to get started visiting our libraries.

Philip Robinson Library self-guided tour

Opened in 1982, the Philip Robinson Library is the main campus Library and has resources for all subjects except medicine and law. It was named after Philip Robinson, a bookseller in the city and benefactor to the Library.

Marjorie Robinson Library Rooms self-guided tour

The Marjorie Robinson Library Rooms is a truly digital Library offering space to study, think, learn, collaborate and consult.

Walton Library self-guided tour

The Walton Library is the faculty library for Medical Sciences and is located on the 5th Floor of the Catherine Cookson Building. It serves the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Psychology and Biomedical Sciences as well as the Graduate School and Research Institutes of the Faculty. It is named after Lord John Walton, former Dean of Medicine at the University and renowned neurologist.

Law Library self-guided tour

The Law Library is located in Newcastle Law School and provides extensive resources for all those engaged in learning and researching law.
