Overton: a new resource for research
29 January 2025
After a successful trial, we now have a new subscription to Overton Index, the world’s largest collection of policy documents, parliamentary transcripts, government guidance and think tank research.
You can search policy from specific regions, countries or source types, and the filter options allow you to view policy that cites research from a particular university, think tank, or individual researcher. This makes it a valuable resource for researchers and anyone interested in the impact of our research here at Newcastle.
Overton also helps you measure your own influence on government policy, both locally and internationally. If you fund, publish or produce research, Overton can show you where it has been cited in policy worldwide.
If you want to find out more about Overton, this short introductory video is a good place to start.
